An instrumental leader and lifelong member of the PFD has been memorialized with the dedication of the Walter Leftwich Training Tower at our main station on Highway 73. “Walter helped start this department as a volunteer in 1970 and served numerous terms as president and as chairman of our board of directors,” Chief Stewart said.
National Registry of EMT Testing

Prairieville Fire Department/Ascension Parish Fire District #3 is pleased to announce that members of Recruit Class 7 successfully passed their National Registry of EMT testing this week. All 6 recruits passed the written exam on their first attempt. Class 7 will begin their firefighter training next week.
