Ascension Parish Fire District 3 / Prairieville Fire Department is excited to lead in the creation of the Ascension Parish High School Firefighter Program starting in the 2024-2025 school year. This innovative program, one of only four in the state, will be available to all Public Ascension Parish High School Seniors. High school seniors in this program will achieve 4 nationally accredited certifications in Firefighting and Hazardous Materials mitigation. These certifications will provide graduates with the qualifications to be hired by fire departments across the State and Nation. Graduates will also be better prepared to serve their local communities in emergency situations. With the creation of this program and others, Ascension Parish Fire District 3/Prairieville Fire Department is proud to continue providing cutting edge emergency service programs tor our citizens and Ascension Parish as a whole.
