Board of Commissioners
Ascension Fire Protection District 3 Board of Commissioners is comprised of a 5-member board of citizens of the fire district, and they are appointed by the Ascension Parish Council. The Ascension Fire Protection District 3 Board of Commissioners hold their regular scheduled meetings at 4 P.M. on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 14517 LA 73, Prairieville La 70769.

Chairman Emeritus, Walter Leftwich
Walter Leftwich was an instrumental leader and lifelong member of the Prairieville Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Walter passed away in 2022 after serving as Charman of the Ascension Fire Protection District 3 Board of Commissioners since its founding. The current Board of Commissioners voted to memorize his dedication to our department and community by naming him Chairman Emeritus and naming of departments training tower the ” Walter Leftwich Training Tower”.
